How do I attach my sweet new Sugar Cubes??

Well its pretty basic. You have two choices;

  • Stitch em’
  • Glue em’

Stitching on takes a little longer than gluing, but not everyone may have access to the right adhesive products, or want to use them. Gluing may not work on some gloves, you really need some that are made of an absorbent fabric, something that the glue can stick to.

So once you know your method, you will need the following.

Glue method;

  • A liquid type adhesive. Gorrilla glue works well and is available in most hardware stores. You wont need much.
  • Something to hold the Velcro on while the glue sets. Pegs, tape, clamps etc.

Stitching method;

  • Some tough cotton, thicker the better. You can also use dental floss.
  • Decent needle
  • Patience
  1. So first we need to know where to put them. The palm pucks go over the top of your palm, make sure it’s far enough back so you can move your fingers. The finger pucks go on the tips of your fingers. Some people find they don’t need/want finger pucks. I personally find I drag my fingers too much, hence I use finger pucks.
  2. Finger pucks come with extra ‘loop side’ Velcro so you can cut it up into finger-tip sized pieces.
  3. Stitch or glue the Velcro for the palms and the fingers. If you’re gluing them on, wait the recommended time frame for the glue to fully cure, most of the time 24hrs should do the trick. I’m no stitching expert, but going around the edge looked like the best way to do it.

I’ve stitched these ones on.

Done!

Do the same for the palm and you’ll be sliding in no time!

#TIP#-Due to the symmetrical shape of the palm pucks they can be rotated to give even wear through out the life of your Sugar Cubes, so they’ll last you a really really long time!
